Return to top...Does DataCare®® have a 'billing' function?
Yes... DataCare® is programmed to use the 'Cash' method of accounting (but this feature is included for providers that require it). This means you report your income when you receive it, and record your expenses when you pay them. This is the way 99.9% of all in-home providers file their tax returns and estimate tax payments. DataCare® provides you with detailed attendance and meal information on the children in your care to substantiate your 'billings'. It is our opinion that you should have an enforceable contract in effect with your clients outlining payment requirements for services provided and any associated ancillary costs involved for the children in your care. There are a number of resources on the web to help you develop a contract to for your specific in-home center.

No. The interface to Quicken® was designed to be used by tax preparers with clients who use DataCare®. It provides a simple vehicle to export your data into Quicken® and from Quicken® to a specific tax preparation program Be sure to let your accountant or tax preparer know about this time saving feature, or have them contact us for more details.

If you require it, support may be obtained by clicking on 'Help' in your DataCare® program, or by e-mailing us at support@gallaghergroup.net within the first 30 days of purchase with your question, or click here. Requests for support received by e-mail are generally answered within several hours on normal business days, and within 48 hours on weekends and holidays. (Although every attempt is made to respond to technical questions within the above guidelines, we can not be responsible for interruptions to web related services beyond our control.) Technical support provided after the first 30 days must be prepaid at a charge of $49.00 per incident. (These charges do not apply to defective program media.)

Products installed from our website are not eligible for return/refund. Defective CD-ROM media will be replaced without charge. Unopened/unregistered software with a valid RMA, and all packaging materials will be accepted less a 15% handling charge. No other refunds or credits will be issued. To obtain an RMA click here.

DataCare® Version 6 and earlier are not compatible with the current version of DataCare®. Special pricing for registered users of DataCare® Version 6 or earlier may be obtained when purchasing the current version of DataCare®. Currently registered users of DataCare® Version 6 or earlier wishing to upgrade to DataCare® Version 7 should e-mail us for ordering information.

DataCare® is designed for Windows® 9x, NT, ME, 2000, or XP. System requirements are:
- 32 MB RAM (64 or more recommended operating system specific)
- 15 MB free hard disk space
- Video display capable of 800x600 resolution
- CD-ROM, Microsoft® compatible mouse
Optional features require:
- Internet Explorer Version 5.5 or greater, Microsoft® Outlook, Microsoft® Word
- Quicken® 99 or greater
